USCIS Announces New Guidance on Form I-693 Validity Period

Good news for applicants applying for Adjustment of Status requiring a Form I-693 Medical Exam! USCIS has recently announced new guidance on the validity period of Form I-693. If the form is signed by the civil surgeon on or after November 1, 2023, it will not expire. However, forms signed before November 1, 2023, will remain valid for two years after the signature date. This is especially helpful given the lengthy adjudication process for Adjustment of Status, as it puts an end to applicants unnecessarily paying for additional medical exams, tests, and vaccines due to USCIS processing times.
